WHAT YOU WILL DO

Seeking an innovative and passionate Front-End Director to help design and guide the implementation strategy of our next online banking web applications, used by millions of customers. The ideal candidate should be passionate about front-end technology, great user experience and have extensive experience designing best-in-class responsive web applications. Candidates should have strong working experience architecting and deploying large-scale web application using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue using AWS cloud-based solutions.

• Partner with business, architecture, and API technology teams to design world-class customer experiences for the online channel using an expert knowledge of industry Front-End best practices
• Collaborate with Application Managers and Tech Leads to drive out the design and adoption of technology solutions
• Collaborate with API teams to drive out for API standards and best practices
• Own, enhance, and optimize our NextGen Web Micro Frontend platform
• Effectively communicate technical solutions and recommendations to senior level management
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of best-in-class products needed to successfully implement a new design
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, from team members to senior management

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

• 7+ years of experience and expert level knowledge of industry best practices for design and implementation of front-end web applications
• Strong working experience with AWS services - EC2, Lambda, S3, Cloudfront, etc.
• Expert level experience with browser-based technology, user interface development, responsive web design and engineering cross-browser, cross-device compliant code
• Expert level experience with JavaScript frameworks - React, Vue, Angular, Ember, etc.
• Expert level experience with creating highly-performant, optimized websites
• Strong working experience with HTML5 and web template engines - Markdown, Handlebars, JSX, Jade
• Strong working experience with CSS3 and CSS Preprocessors - SASS, LESS, etc.
• Strong working experience with JavaScript/ES6/Typescript
• Strong working experience with writing high-quality, semantic, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Strong working experience with JavaScript testing frameworks - Mocha, Jasmine, Jest, etc.
• Strong working experience with consuming REST API using asynchronous methods
• Strong working experience with version control (Git/Bitbucket) and branching strategies
• Experience with 508 Compliance/Web Accessibility
• Experience with command-line utilities, build tools - Webpack, Grunt, Gulp
• Experience with NodeJS and server-side JavaScript development
• Enterprise exposure in defect analysis and resolution
