LOCATION:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
  • Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
  • Establish and supervise internal controls for monitoring assets, capital investments, controlling costs, and measuring liquidity.
  • Liaison with senior leadership from accounting on matters of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Summarize the financial status of the organization; interprets asset ratios, break-even analysis reports, profit margins, operating costs, and other metrics used in measuring fiscal stability.
  • Develop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments.
  • Establish targets and manage all accounting and finance employees including internal auditors.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance.
  • Guarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.
  • Communicate with operations, marketing, HR, IT, and other departments on matters of budget approval and ROI for specific projects.
  • Supervise audits and make certain that financial reporting is completed properly, and that all documentation follows applicable regulations (including GAAP, FASB, or SEC mandates).
  • Develop key financial models.
  • Manage company cash flows.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of financial management experience.
  • Master's in Finance or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in financial management.
  • Extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more finance related fields or departments.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting software, corporate principals, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership and business acumen; proven supervisory skills.
  • Experience with financial forecasting.
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and teambuilding skills.
