- Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
- Establish and supervise internal controls for monitoring assets, capital investments, controlling costs, and measuring liquidity.
- Liaison with senior leadership from accounting on matters of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
- Summarize the financial status of the organization; interprets asset ratios, break-even analysis reports, profit margins, operating costs, and other metrics used in measuring fiscal stability.
- Develop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments.
- Establish targets and manage all accounting and finance employees including internal auditors.
- Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance.
- Guarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines.
- Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.
- Communicate with operations, marketing, HR, IT, and other departments on matters of budget approval and ROI for specific projects.
- Supervise audits and make certain that financial reporting is completed properly, and that all documentation follows applicable regulations (including GAAP, FASB, or SEC mandates).
- Develop key financial models.
- Manage company cash flows.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of financial management experience.
- Master's in Finance or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in financial management.
- Extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more finance related fields or departments.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting software, corporate principals, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership and business acumen; proven supervisory skills.
- Experience with financial forecasting.
- Ability to execute in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
