WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; and oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting
Process payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit card management and reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and reporting
Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and assess any changes necessary
Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes
Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting
Update and implement all necessary business policies, financial controls and accounting practices; improve the finance department's overall policy and procedure manual
Effectively communicate and present financial matters to the leadership
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
At least 10 years of experience, including previous management responsibility
Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting but generally prefer applicants who also have earned a master's degree in business administration (MBA) or certification such as certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA)
