WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Use a broad and deep understanding of technical concepts in multiple specialized fields to develop solutions to problems and critical design issues.
Work independently and supervise the work of lower level personnel.
Create solutions that significantly impact the success of the customer and department.
Work with Leadership to guide the overall plan, goal, or project to improve efficiency
Configure, implement, and tune -technology- solutions to meet business and technical requirements on designated projects
Participate in system testing activities related to infrastructure solutions
Create user documentation to ensure effective operations/support of the infrastructure solution
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
Monitor technology availability and reliability and when necessary will assist with leading cross-domain operational/engineering teams and LOB application teams to triage high priority or performance degrading incidents
Assist with operations and production coverage; provide 1st and 2ndlevel support for technical area of responsibility
Support/Perform change requests as required for hardware upgrades, additions, configuration changes, etc. with proactive co-ordination with vendors and our company partners Align with Change Management, Release Management, IT Risk - Compliance processes and standards
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
7+ years of experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System, or other relevant field of study preferred
Solid understanding of enterprise platforms and operating systems
Proficiency in all the infrastructure layers, hardware, OS, virtualization, storage, network, database and security within cloud environments (AWS and Azure)
Strong service orientated, collaborative attitude with both peers and internal customers
Knowledge of standards in IT architecture and infrastructure
Strong problem-solving capabilities
Solid understanding of data security requirements, policies and auditing processes
Constant process improvement to reduce delivery time and increase customer satisfaction In depth technical knowledge with the following specific technologies: Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) Cloud Providers Azure and AWS CI/CD
