WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Perform full-lifecycle software application development for the infrastructure platforms
Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
Design, develop and implement solutions based on standards that establish consistency across the enterprise data, reduce risks, and promote efficiencies in support of the organizational goals
Design, code and debug applications in various software languages
Perform analyses in the following areas: software, code and requirements, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analyses, and software reliability analyses
Perform Object-Oriented Design and Analysis (OOA & OOD)
Perform software modeling and simulation
Support, maintain and document software functionality
Integrate software and existing systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues, restore services, and perform root cause analyses
Documents the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures
Build, configure, patch and upgrade core infrastructure platforms
Participate in project level architecture governance to include the collaboration on and development of solution architectures and designs
Facilitate the review, vetting of these designs with the architecture governance bodies, as required
Mentor junior staff on architecture best practices, design patterns and reference architectures
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience with administration of WMQ MFT
5+ years of experience working with Enterprise level data movement products
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Administration and development skills of WMQ MFT (MQFTE), producer, and consumer integration and associated queue management
Extensive scripting skills to enable automation of standard activities
Experience with clustered/grid architectures and associated High Availability, workload management and Disaster Recovery practices
Preferred Skills:
Experience as administrator of MQ with WMQ MFT (MQ FTE)
Ability to install or upgrade client agents and update sandbox configurations
Previous experience working in the financial services industry
Experience working in an Agile methodology
ITIL experience or certification
Experience working with IBM Data Movement products
Experience in Producer/Consumer integration and managing queues with WMQ MFT
Experience working with Linux, AIX, Windows, and Mainframe Operating Systems,
Experience with Azure, z/OS, SMP/E, AutoSys, MQ Explorer, Splunk
Experience with one of the following: Ansible Tower, HTML, PHP, Python, Perl or JavaScript
Experience with Amazon (AWS) messaging services, (i.e. Kafka and Message Queues
