Participates in the design and development of security models, along with establishing the procedures and guidelines for hardware, software and network security that support information security policies.
Designing security models, reviewing, and approving security configuration and installation of firewall, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies, and servers.
Develops security-specific enterprise reference artifacts including patterns, road maps and threat models.
Overseeing security awareness programs; educating and communicating to staff about information security polices, procedures, and practices.
Helps craft the organizational technology vision and Information Security principles and standards to ensure that the Information Security needs of the business are met.
Monitoring industry security updates, technologies and best practices to improve security management.
Leads the design effort for security solutions and champions them through the architectural portions of the Software Development Life Cycle process.
Participating in the development of hardware/software/network security procedures and guidelines that support information security policies.
Serves as a security architecture subject matter expert for the firm.
Participates in the selection decisions of security tools for use by various security teams and in the Architecture Review as Security's voice in the governance of the Software Development Process as it relates to architectural elements.
Serves as an internal information security consultant on the standards, complex issues, and best practices to the organization.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS Required Skills:
3+ years of previous experience
Ability to design and develop security models while establishing the procedures and guidelines for hardware
Previous experience reviewing and approving security configuration and installation of firewall, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies and servers
