WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
Directly supporting the IT Security program from security planning, procedures, and control techniques
High visibility as the point of contact for internal and external projects, audits, governance, and executive reports related to cybersecurity.
Responsible for developing and scheduling security assessments for key company IT systems, including audits of system users and security levels
Own the security plan and posture throughout the company. Partner with parent company and 3rd party vendors to understand security landscape and answers security posture questions under audit.
Responsible for the review of security threats from 3rd party monitoring applications and consider recommendations, then work with IT teams to remediate threats.
BACKGROUND THAT FITS
3-5 years of experience within a Cyber Security in an Analyst capacity.
Strong understanding of general security concepts, such as defense-in-depth, least privilege, security architecture and design, threat modeling, etc.
Exposure to a variety of security monitoring tools.
Demonstrated skills with continual monitoring to identify threats and monitors the network for any security breaches; performing maintenance of security documentation; ensuring compliance to all applicable standards using NIST-based security process
Experience managing 3rd party vendors and overall relationship management.
Must possess a high attention to detail, ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Strong understanding of the Audit, Regulatory and Compliance space
Experience with provisioning/configuration software such as Ansible.
Experience assisting development teams adhering to security best practices, for example, migrating to Kerberos where applicable.
Experience with Secrets Management solutions recommended.
