WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED

  • Remote
  • Headquartered in Charlotte, NC

 

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Directly supporting the IT Security program from security planning, procedures, and control techniques
  • High visibility as the point of contact for internal and external projects, audits, governance, and executive reports related to cybersecurity.
  • Responsible for developing and scheduling security assessments for key company IT systems, including audits of system users and security levels
  • Own the security plan and posture throughout the company. Partner with parent company and 3rd party vendors to understand security landscape and answers security posture questions under audit.
  • Responsible for the review of security threats from 3rd party monitoring applications and consider recommendations, then work with IT teams to remediate threats.

 

BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • 3-5 years of experience within a Cyber Security in an Analyst capacity.
  • Strong understanding of general security concepts, such as defense-in-depth, least privilege, security architecture and design, threat modeling, etc.
  • Exposure to a variety of security monitoring tools.
  • Demonstrated skills with continual monitoring to identify threats and monitors the network for any security breaches; performing maintenance of security documentation; ensuring compliance to all applicable standards using NIST-based security process
  • Experience managing 3rd party vendors and overall relationship management.
  • Must possess a high attention to detail, ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Audit, Regulatory and Compliance space
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with provisioning/configuration software such as Ansible.
    • Experience assisting development teams adhering to security best practices, for example, migrating to Kerberos where applicable.
    • Experience with Secrets Management solutions recommended.
