WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:
- Onsite in Huntersville, NC
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Manages d Manage all accounting operations including G/L, treasury, revenue recognition, etc.
- Provide leadership to the accounting department and staff.
- Ensure timely preparation and maintenance of financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
- Developing internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities.
- Coordinating and directing budgeting, procurement, investment activities, and financial planning.
- Establishing and maintaining financial controls with the accounting department.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.
- Creating budgets and forecasts.
- Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Leverage the company’s ERP system for its full functionality.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Manage timely month-end and year-end close processes.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Active CPA preferred.
- Manufacturing, distribution, or energy sector experience required.
- Oracle NetSuite ERP experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Controller or Financial Leader.
- Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
- Proven experience in financial project management.
- Advanced computer skills, specifically spreadsheets and working in an ERP environment.
- Must be able to communicate financial information into sound business language so people of all levels can understand.
- Knowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reporting.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
