WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
  • Work closely with VP of Accounting and CFO while overseeing AR, AP, Payroll, and Benefits teams.
  • Play a key role in partnering with implementation team on new ERP migration.
  • Develop the accounting team to support company growth while creating and/or recommending processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provides financial reporting and calculations to CFO.
  • Lead and own expense reimbursement policies for multiple regions and oversee expense management software and associated processes.
  • Manage commission reconciliation process.
  • Manage monthly bank account and credit card reconciliations.
  • Manage bank transactions including remote deposits and ACH transactions.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements through full-cycle accounting including month-end journal entries.
  • Import multiple transactions to accounting software including payroll, expense reports and commission transactions from a variety of portals.
  • Process payroll and associated reporting for multiple companies, utilizing PEO services and HRIS system.
  • Maintain lease and contract documentation.
  • Ensure fixed assets are properly recorded and updated at year-end for preparation of property tax returns.
  • Oversee annual business licenses, tax, Secretary of State annual reports, PCORI, USDA PACA and other tax/license documentation and payments.
  • Perform 401k and benefits plan audits and form 5500 oversight for multiple companies.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Prior accounting leadership experience preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills at all levels of the org char
  • Able to handle confidential information with integrity and exercise good judgment.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills: Ability to identify problems, while also providing recommendations and solutions with a positive attitude.
