  • This role may supervise a team of 3-5 staff accountants

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Exceptional Debit and Credit journal entry experience is a MUST
  • Exposure to full cycle accounting responsibilities including financial reporting, payroll, SG&A expense analysis, asset adherence, and audit review
  • Deferred revenue, accounting for advance grant payments
  • Fixed Asset roll forward reconciliation monthly reconciliation and net book value analysis
  • Prepaid expense and other current asset reconciliation monthly review
  • Financial modeling, divisional reporting detail
  • GL reconciliation, fund accounting, grant accounting and exposure to governmental accounting practices will be a plus over other candidates
  • Strong Excel skills are a must – advance formula capabilities, pivot table, VLookups etc

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting function
  • Supervisory experience leading staff accountants
  • Audit experience in public accounting ++
  • Non-Profit or Government Entity experience will be a plus
