WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Oversee Container Security Vulnerability tool(s) to include managing the output and working hands on with the DevOps and Infrastructure teams to drive remediation
  • Monitor and respond to Open Source Software weaknesses and exposures
  • Evangelize and drive Cyber Security inside the company
  • Perform research and develop whitepapers/presentations/etc. regarding application security
  • Develop and update security patterns and user stories aligned with security requirements
  • Provide leadership related to technical aspects of tools, methodologies, best practices and processes and standards that apply to their technical area of expertise.
  • Research requirements to determine system feasibility, costs, benefits, or functional requirements.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • 5+ years of applicable security experience
  • Expert understanding of Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Deep understanding of container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos , Openshift
  • Advanced knowledge of security capabilities and constraints related to deploying cloud native and multi-cloud applications and infrastructure
  • Ability to present complex, technical information to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical, in written and/or oral formats
  • Hands-on experience with Agile, DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies
  • Assist in developing an automated framework for Security Tool deployment and development, leveraging various scripting languages and open source solutions
  • Hands on experience AWS / Windows / Linux Security
  • Highly proficient in at least one major scripting / programming language (Python, Ruby, Node, Java, R, Go…) Proficient in shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell…)
  • Deep understanding of container security tools, and experience with products such as Aqua, Twistlock, Qualys Container Security, Layered Insight
