WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Deploy, automate, and manage multi-cloud (Azure and AWS) development and production systems, to ensure the high availability, performance, scalability, sustainability and security
  • Design state-of-the-art technical solutions on Azure that address customer’s requirements for reliability, security, and performance
  • Implement cloud disaster recovery strategy ensuring the highest levels of data protection and system resiliency
  • Responsible for the cloud backup strategy and data protection of the systems in the cloud
  • Manage cloud server infrastructure with a focus on performance optimization and cloud infrastructure costs.  Leverage native cloud provider tools to lower TCO and enhance service levels
  • Work closely with a team of architects, engineers, and developers to create functional design specifications, Azure reference architectures, and assist with other project deliverables as needed
  • Work with application and cross functional teams to drive Azure education and adoption
  • Provide periodic off-hours on-call support for production and development environments.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • 5+ years technical support including Microsoft Azure and/or AWS systems design and
  • implementation
  • Expert knowledge of virtualization, cloud computing
  • Experience building and administering/supporting Windows and Linux systems running in Azure
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure native services and virtual appliances
  • Strong experience with PowerShell
  • Experience with Active Directory including managing/maintaining several domains
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as: DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, SFTP.
  • Knowledge of Networking and TCP/IP
  • Expert Knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Working knowledge of VPN connectivity and client trouble shooting
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery processes in Azure
