THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
  • Ensure that operations are effectively and efficiently coordinated, implemented, and conducted within the framework of the overall corporate strategy
  • Instill a strong commitment to safety and the importance of safety measures across the organization
  • Develop business plans in coordination with the CEO and outline strategic goals with detailed plans for execution
  • Set operational and/or performance goals which are aggressive, achievable, and meet or exceed long-term goals
  • Establish and measure goals based on sales, profit, and other performance criteria
  • Create and maintain a sustainable organizational business model through a strong project-based matrix organization that is scalable in response to changing market and industry conditions while driving enterprise value
  • Develop, establish, and implement policies and procedures for all company divisions
  • Ensure that operations management supports the business strategy and is aligned with overall corporate strategic objectives
  • Promote a strong client focus within each operating unit and across the organization
  • Review operational and financial performance and take corrective action when necessary to address problems and correct operational deficiencies
  • Develop a supportive organizational culture that fosters high-performing, cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute sales and business development strategies to increase revenue and profitability
  • Develop and deliver presentations to senior management and BOD
  • Leverage existing relationships to create new client opportunities
  • Oversee and manage project risk with respect to solicitation, bidding, and ongoing management through project staffing and execution
  • Assess management capabilities and requirements, and develop methods to attract, recruit, and retain a talented management team to meet those needs
  •  Ensure a high-performance culture through effective executive performance management, communication, and coaching
  • Direct the operating unit leaders to leverage the synergies between all operating units and regions within the organization
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of, and commitment to, compliance with all laws, regulations and corporate policy to ensure the highest of ethics in business conduct

THE BACKGROUND PROFILE
  • 20+ years of experience in the constructions industry
  • Strong preference for experience in the renewable energy sector
  • Executive operations management experience with a focus on growth and business optimization
  • Must have a strong safety track record along with a commitment to safety and the value of safety policies and procedures
  • Successful track record managing operations with profit and loss responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to scale processes and systems in response to new service verticals and business lines
  • Proven ability to evaluate the company's capabilities and execute a solid operational strategy for continued growth and profitability
  • Highly regarded industry leader with a strong reputation and proven track record
  • Experience developing business plans and outlining strategic goals with plans for execution
  • Experience working with energy and industrial clients in the construction industry, including a solid network of industry contacts and access to a wide range of resources
  • Experience with contractual and commercial practices for projects with direct hire project execution
  • Understanding of how to mitigate commercial risk to enhance opportunities for successful business/project performance
