WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Champion strategic planning with the senior leadership team in support of business and support function 3-year strategic plans
Communicates with senior leaders as a true thought partner in the formation and execution of division and function specific strategies.
Facilitates Executive team alignment and ensures maintained focus on agreed upon goals.
Work directly with numerous teams to ensure creation of an executive summary (budget, timeline, high level comments on status) for all managed projects to present to the COO.
Lead root cause analysis communication, taking initiative without guidance from the COO or other SLT team members on issues and opportunities that can impact the company’s executive agenda.
Confirm hypotheses through engagement with the relevant parties.
Create alternative approaches to addressing the problem or opportunity, including a recommended solution.
Engage in coalition building in support of mitigation approaches.
Scope, plan and execute multiple, often quick-turnaround projects with minimal outside assistance.
Present ideas for special projects that might facilitate the COO’s/leadership’s objectives
Work with appropriate stakeholders, including outside parties, to undertake analysis and present findings to COO, Executive staff, or Board, as appropriate.
Oversee transfer of projects to other stakeholders within the organization as needed
Work closely with the COO to determine upcoming needs outlining, drafting, and/or researching in support of meetings and events
Prepare follow up correspondence for internal / external meetings, as directed by the COO conducting fact checking in support of all communications
Coordinate with others who might be involved; communication must be clear, concise, and compelling
Present timely work-in-progress updates to the COO on the status of the communication materials
Document the agenda, meeting minutes, and action items for the Board of Advisor’s meetings
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
Four Year degree required; Master’s Degree required.
Experience working within a corporate strategy team.
Consultant background preferred and/or corporate development experience.
Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
Ability to interpret and analyze complex data and exercise initiative, sound judgment, problem-solving and decision-making.
Stellar communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships across the organization.
