The Bloomberg Engineer position is part of a team that is responsible for multiple applications that support the investment activities of the banking platform. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Partner with Business and Technology Leaders who understand Finance business needs and can take ownership of decision-making, team engagement, and coordinating with squad members for high-stakes Capital Markets projects.
  • Engage business stakeholders and technology partners to refine business requirements and adhere to data governance and design patterns aligned with the enterprise data strategy.
  • Order Management and Trade Workflow experience (Buy side or Sell side)
  • Connectivity Troubleshooting familiarity MQ , SFTP, TCP/IP, FIX
  • Understanding of front-office, middle-office and back-office workflows
  • Support prototyping activities that will validate business requirements, solution definition and minimize risk
  • Strong development experience & integrations between Bloomberg and client systems which includes SWIFT, FIX, XML, SFTP and MQ. Strong experience in hosted Middleware (GNET) to connect to Bloomberg.
  • Extensive knowledge on Bloomberg PORT , Data Management Service (DMS) & AIM.
  • Think and plan strategically while formulating software/data specifications; thus, aligning with the long-term business roadmap
  • Problem solver who values input from various experiences, seek out information to keep the team on track and voice opinions on the most effective way forward
  • Anticipate the needs of customers, focus work processes on customer satisfaction



  • 5+ years of experience in IT, preferably in the Finance business domain
  • 5+ years of experience in Bloomberg AIM , Gnet , PORT and Data Management Services.
  • Prior experience with financial services, preferably with Capital Markets , Treasury, Finance, and regulatory experience (i.e., Basel II & III, Dodd-Frank, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Design, Data Quality solutions, Metadata solutions, advanced analytics, and business intelligence solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in databases/data warehousing (Oracle/SQL Server).
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies in a distributed team environment is a plus.
  • Working knowledge on AWS Cloud Infrastructure
  • Experience in all aspects of software delivery management – analysis, design, estimating, and implementing technology architectures
