WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
  • Administer various employee benefits programs, including group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and provide guidance on benefits self-enrollment system.
  • Maintain and audit employee benefits filing systems, ensuring accurate and timely entry of benefits changes in the payroll system.
  • Assist in auditing vendor programs and FSA deductions for accuracy.
  • Support the VP of HR and Director of HRIS in obtaining statistics and information for the renewal process of health, life, and retirement plans.
  • Prepare and facilitate meetings to educate employees about company benefits, distribute required employee notices, and assist employees with health, dental, life, and other related benefit claims
 
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related fields (four-year degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience within the industry or a related management position.
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and the ability to
    learn and operate other software (AS400, SAP, BTN, etc.)
  • HR Generalist certification or working toward it, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with superior customer service.
  • Ability to collaborate with various departments, employees, and external business partners.
