WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

  • South Charlotte, Hybrid- 3 days in office with flexibility

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Internal day-to-day oversight of all benefit program activities (health & welfare and retirement) including communication, billing, reporting and compliance. Liaison between associates, insurance providers and/or broker to swiftly identity and resolve issues according to summary plan document and policy guidelines.
  • Assists associates & HR team members with benefit questions and claim resolution in tandem with Health Advocate services.
  • Reviews broker and vendor compliance alerts, collaborates with senior leadership as needed on matters relevant to and its benefit programs, suggesting program modifications as needed to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitates 5500 process to include collection of applicable tax forms, coordination with broker, draft review, and Summary Annual Report distribution.
  • Reviews monthly billing, vendor payment coordination with Finance team.

BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • In-depth knowledge of health & welfare, retirement and wellness program design, development and implementation as well as statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with self-funded benefit programs and working knowledge of ERISA (minimum 7 years)
  • Experience with HRIS and Payroll systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and coordinate efficiently with various internal (Finance, IT, Marketing) and external (broker/vendor) resources
  • Dynamic individual with previous supervisory experience
