WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Support cross-functional initiatives related to privacy and compliance
Help to develop and document new tools, processes, and standards to meet emerging privacy regulations (such as the CPRA)
Assist with privacy and compliance projects, from scoping out requirements to working collaboratively across cross-functional teams and managing implementation
Synthesize and stay abreast of evolving legal and regulatory requirements (through review of statutory language, industry and web publications, webinars, etc)
Track progress and assist with managing milestones and deliverables
Assist with responding to data subject rights requests and sensitive member escalations
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
Bachelor’s degree and excellent academic credentials
3+ years of relevant background experience
Team player with excellent people skills and a bias to action
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to
detail
Experience driving complex projects to a successful, timely completion
Familiarity with Google tools (Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc), JIRA, and Slack)
Familiarity with privacy and data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and GLBA
Experience working in financial services
Experience working with legal or compliance stakeholders
