WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

• Assist with the financial oversight of $400M plant operation
• Leads the period closing process; including preparation and posting of journal entries, variance analysis, and accuracy of the general ledger
• Facilitates Appropriation Requests process, monitors capital spend, processes asset capitalizations, and maintains accuracy of fixed asset ledger
• Assist with the implementation and business adherence to internal finance controls including data and reporting standards and compliance (Sarbanes Oxley regulations and external audits)
• Maintains and updates plant standard costs, working with Engineering and Operations to ensure accurate usage rates and labor hours
• Assists Plant Controller with preparation of the annual budget, and short and long-term forecasting

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business Administration (4 years related experience)
• Manufacturing background - preferably in plant operation setting
• Compliance focused, internal control expertise ++
• GAAP and cost accounting ++
• Business partnering skils are a premium
