THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • This role is responsible for optimizing the flow of epics/features and the value delivered by a program, and is focused on serving the needs of the train to drive performance and growth
  • Work with the Architect and Product Manager in refining the epics to be considered in the next quarterly planning cycle to meet the Epic Definition of Ready
  • Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating the program ceremonies, managing dependencies across teams in the program, and providing visibility into the health of epic/feature delivery and the overall program increment
  • Understand and communicate the capacity of the teams within the program, and ensure commitments and capacity are balanced and sustainable.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination with stakeholders and customers during epic definition and delivery, ensures impediments to epic/feature delivery are resolved quickly and protects the teams from outside disruptions to delivery
  • Evangelize the Agile mindset and principles, empowering individual teams to become self-managing and fulfill their cross-functional potential
  • Manages change to the ART’s quarterly plan and the impacts of those changes
  • In collaboration with the Product Manager, ensure the program has a healthy product/program backlog
  • Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration within the ART to support value delivery and PI commitment
  • Responsible for providing status updates and reporting pertaining to ART plans/delivery/timelines/impediments to stakeholders and leadership
  • Measure ART delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the ART to identify improvement opportunities
  • Contributes to the Agile Community with best practices and proved techniques
  • Manage the delivery of initiatives and/or solution releases including deliverables, cost, schedule, quality, and status reporting.

MANDAROTY SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of information technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant field of study
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of ScrumMaster experience
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM or related certification strongly preferred)
  • SAFe RTE certification strongly preferred
  • Thorough understanding and experience working with both agile and waterfall methodologies on large scale, technically complex projects. 
  • Ability to deal with multiple projects. 
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). 
  • Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems. 
  • Data driven analysis skills for measuring and managing delivery. 
  • Controls a program level view and status and uses the information in Jira and PowerBI to communicate on multiple projects and programs at a time. 
  • Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate. 
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues. 
  • Highly adaptable to changing environment. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams. 
  • Situational awareness of when to listen and when to be assertive. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. 
  • Ability to keep team engaged and on task.
