WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  •  Provide secretarial and administrative support.
  • Compose correspondence and memos
  • Maintain appointment schedules
  • Coordinate travel arrangements
  • Schedule meetings and prepare information reports
  • Significant  contact with other executives, customers, and suppliers.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Minimum 2-3 years administrative experience in an Administrative Assistant role or comparable administrative duties; Corning Experience encouraged

• Professional, organized, detail oriented, manages multiple priorities

• Excellent Outlook skills & MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); strong knowledge of computer software

• Handles confidential and proprietary information with discretion and sound judgment

• Maintains composure and work quality during variations in work schedules, priorities and under tight timelines and able to handle a fast-paced environment

• Capable of handling routine administrative work with no instruction

• Excellent communication skills – clear and succinct in a variety of communications settings and styles

• Shows initiative (self-starter) and works independently on assignments and issues that arise
