LOCATION

• Huntersville, NC - hybrid flexibility

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

• This role reports directly to the Director of Accounting and is responsible for the day to day accounting activities of the organization
• This role will manage a small team of accountants and is expected to be a player / coach in this role
• Demonstrated experience in processes improvement initiatives will be expected from the candidate.  Examples would include reduction in days to close, efficient synthesis of data from multiple systems, and other automated processes will be need to be explained in the interview process
• Advice staff on how to handle non routine transactions, and implement processes for future benefit
• Monitors compliance with company procedures, GAAP, and internal controls of the company
• Establish and promote a culture of continuous improvement for the team

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

• 5 - 8 years of experience in accounting lead role
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA preferred
• Advanced Excel modeling and data analytics capabilities.
• Oracle, and SAP experience preferred
• Friendly, positive attitude and strong work ethic
